## Overview

We repair the Pixel 10 Pro: screens, batteries, charging ports, back glass and camera lens covers. It is the smaller of Google's two 2025 Pro phones, with a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED under Gorilla Glass Victus 2, a silky matte glass back, a polished aluminum frame and a 4,870 mAh battery. Its triple camera bar pairs the main and ultrawide cameras with a 48MP 5x telephoto.

It is the same size as the standard Pixel 10, but the two don't share a display panel, a back or a camera module, so tell us it's the Pro when you call (520) 477-8822. That call turns the estimate in the table into a firm quote for your phone, and if you're not sure what's wrong, we look at it first and tell you what it needs before you commit.

## Pixel 10 Pro or Pixel 10? Why the parts don't swap

From the front the two look nearly identical, and from a few feet away the backs do too. The differences are in the details: the Pro has a variable-refresh LTPO panel, a matte back rather than a glossy one, a polished frame instead of a matte one, and a 48MP telephoto where the Pixel 10 uses a much smaller 10.8MP sensor. A Pixel 10 screen is not the right part for a Pro, and a back panel from one won't match the other.

If you're unsure which you have, open Settings, About phone. The model name is listed at the top.

## Fingerprint unlock after a Pixel 10 Pro screen replacement

Like the rest of the Pixel 10 line, the Pro reads your fingerprint through an ultrasonic sensor under the display. After a screen replacement that sensor has to read through the new panel, so we test fingerprint unlock before the phone leaves the bench, and you may need to register your fingerprints again.

If unlock became unreliable right after you fitted a new screen protector, take the protector off and try again before assuming the screen is faulty. Not every protector is made to work with ultrasonic sensors, and a thick or badly seated one is a common cause.

## What a damaged LTPO panel looks like on the 10 Pro

The 10 Pro’s display drops its refresh rate as low as 1Hz when nothing on screen is moving, then speeds up when you scroll. A damaged panel can betray itself in the gaps: flicker as the phone settles after scrolling, or a band of uneven brightness on the always-on display. Cracks are not required for any of this; pressure from a sat-on phone can do it.

## The matte back, Pixelsnap magnets and wireless charging

The back panel does more than look good on this model. Behind it sit the wireless charging coil and the Pixelsnap magnets that hold Qi2 chargers and accessories in place, at up to 15W. If magnetic chargers have stopped seating properly since a drop, or wireless charging cuts in and out, mention it when you hand the phone over; a cracked back and a charging fault are often the same repair.

Cracked glass that has started to flake should come off before fragments work their way into the camera bar. Until then, a strip of clear tape over the damage keeps splinters off your fingers.

## Lens cover or camera? Checking each lens on the Pro

A face-up fall on a table edge tends to land on the camera bar first. Open the camera and switch between 0.5x, 1x and 5x. If one zoom level looks hazy, flared or has a fixed smudge while the others are sharp, the cover over that lens is the likely casualty. If a camera won't focus, shows a black frame or makes a buzzing sound, the module underneath has been damaged and needs replacing.

## Battery wear on the Pixel 10 Pro

Google rates batteries from the Pixel 8a onward to keep up to 80 percent of their capacity for about 1,000 charge cycles. On the 10 Pro you can see where yours stands under Settings, About phone, Battery information, which lists the cycle count, and the battery health screen will show Reduced once capacity drops below that 80 percent line. That status, or a phone that dies by mid-afternoon, is the point where a replacement is worth it.

Before booking a battery, rule out the simple things. A slow charge is often a worn cable or a low-wattage adapter; the 10 Pro charges fastest on a 30W USB-C PPS charger. Back up the phone before any battery job and bring your PIN so we can check charging and unlock afterward. Our store is inside Tucson Mall, on the upper level.
