What breaks most often on the Pixel 10 Pro XL
A bigger, heavier phone lands harder. Drops onto a corner tend to crack the screen from the edge inward, and a face-up fall usually catches the raised camera bar first, which houses the 48MP telephoto alongside the main and ultrawide cameras. Before you pay for a camera, take a few photos with each lens: sharp images mean only the lens cover is broken.
The other common visit is a back panel that cracked when the phone slid off a lap or a car seat and landed flat. With so much glass on the back, a single impact can spread across the whole panel.
Screen glass or display? Telling them apart on a 6.8-inch panel
If the picture is clean, colors look right and touch works to every edge, the damage is in the glass. If you see a spreading black blot, vertical lines, a green or purple tint, or a strip that ignores your finger, the OLED itself is damaged. On Pixel phones the glass and panel are replaced together as one display assembly, but knowing which you have tells you how urgent it is: a damaged OLED usually gets worse quickly.

If charging has slowed down, try a different cable and a known 45W PPS charger first, and check whether wireless charging still works. If the phone charges normally on a Qi2 pad but not on a cable, the USB-C port is the suspect, and lint packed into the port is a frequent cause.
